Is Google spying people?

Several countries in Europe are all launching investigations into Google after the accidentally collected data after they were getting information for Google street view. Europe has very strong data protection and privacy laws, if the investigation finds Google did something wrong they could be punished severely. Europe’s strict privacy laws were put in place after their history with the Gestapo who would use private information to round up people.
